After graduating from our respective colleges in May of 2017, we both moved back home to Lake City to pursue our careers and start our post-grad lives. At the beginning of June, we attended the monthly young adults service at our church, Christ Central, and met at the hang out after service. Jewels was given a camera to take photos of the group, and with her lack of photography knowledge, walked over to the only person holding a camera, Chris. After that initial conversation, we sat and talked about anything and everything. A month or so later, we went on our first date at Falling Creek, the location that Chris would propose at a few months later.

Falling Creek will always hold a special place in our heart. It was the location of our first date last July, the place we sat and dreamed up what 2019 would hold for us, and the spot where Chris got down on one knee. On a cool April evening, we made the trip up to Falling Creek, expecting to get some fresh air before heading to dinner. After Chris set up his tripod and camera at the perfect spot for a "photo op," he clicked record and dropped to one knee with the ring. Of course, the answer was yes!
