Chris and I knew each other in high school but spent time in different crowds. The years went by and each of us has had our own separate lives including challenges, marriages, good times and bad times. We have each experienced life in such a way that would prepare us for the day we would come together. But we didn't know this at the time! About six years ago we crossed paths again as we were each selling different crafts at our local farmers market. We would say hi each week and Chris would come over and talk to me sometimes. Life continued to move forward, each of us still on our own separate paths. I took my four girls to a Christmas festival in our downtown area a few years later. Chris was there with a horse and carriage company and they were offering carriage rides. Chris specifically made sure my children and I got on his carriage. I remember him talking with me during the entire ride. He told me all about the horses and the different places they did the carriage business. I remember thinking in my head how wonderful it really was to see him that night and how thoughtful it was for him to put us on his carriage when we could have just as easily been put on someone else's. Eventually we became Facebook friends the following year. One evening I happened to have a night to myself and I decided to go to the movies alone. I made the post on Facebook that I was on my own. Shortly after that I received a private message from Chris asking if he could join me. I remember telling him that it was a chick flick if he didn't mind! He said it was fine with him. He showed up and we watched a movie together. It was The Fault in Our Stars. Afterwards we went to World of Beer and he introduced me to hard cider! After that night we started spending time together and it seemed we didn't want to be a part. Now here we are three years later just as much in love as we ever were and I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I love you Christophe!
