Dress Warm!

We are so happy you are going to join us in Helen for our Wedding!. We know it's a little drive for everyone and appreciate so much that you will be with us as we become husband and wife. If you plan to spend the night in Helen, or the entire weekend (hopefully), we do recommend you make travel arrangements and hotel reservations early as Helen, Georgia, is a popular tourist town even in the fall months. Our Venue is only 10 minutes from downtown Helen and 1 mile from Unicoi State Park and Lodge. We will post details for cabins, hotels, and campground reservations for those who who would like to join us for the night or for entire weekend. We ask that you do not feel obligated to bring wedding gifts. We want your presence only at this celebration. if you are coming into town on Friday please do feel free to join us Friday night for our rehearsal and dinner. Our wedding weekend is also the groom's birthday so we plan on celebrating that as well! We truly want you to come and share our weekend with us. Eat, drink, and be merry! We also ask that you feel free to dress up or down. It is an afternoon/evening event so we want you to be comfortable. Evening attire is appropriate, of course, but so are your overalls per Chris. Honestly, we don't care what you wear. We just want you to be a part of our happiness. We will have heaters, blankets for our guests and a fire in the fireplace/pit if the weather is chilly. This is an outdoor covered event so dress accordingly. The nearby Bavarian-themed village of Helen, GA is host to great shopping, restaurants and annual events such as Oktoberfest and the Christmas Market. Its not unusual to see Santa hanging around having a beer and a pretzel. North Georgia’s numerous waterfalls and hiking trails bring visitors to the area year-round. Anna Ruby Falls, just minutes away from Unicoi State Park, is one of the most popular and most accessible falls in the state. We have just been notified that parking for the rehearsal and wedding day will be across the street from our cabin venue in the field just before the Tanglewood Cabins office. The address is: 3387 Highway 356 Sautee Ga 30571 the field is right before you get to the “office” blue building. We will have it marked with signs. Please feel free to drop any guests at the door of our cabin venue if needed and then park in the parking lot. We will update this with more information if needed. Thank you!
