We’re getting married!

Back in highschool when I was fourteen and Chris was sixteen, he tried getting my number from one of his friends, who is also my older cousin Justin Martinez. Justin told Chris no because I was so young and “it’d be weird.” I have always known Chris as my cousin’s friend who was always so nice to me but now looking back I know why he was so “nice,” because he liked me the whole time, when I have also had a secret crush on him. We never got close until almost five years later! I had gone to college in Kansas and Chris was living in Pennsylvania for two years. We ended up moving back to Hobbs the exact same summer where I was invited by a friend to a party Chris was throwing. After finding out I was coming over, Chris asked Justin permission for a second time. Ever since, the second I walked in the door Chris walked straight up to me with a huge hug and we have been inseperable ever since.

We celebrated Christmas eve at Chris’s grandparents house surrounded by our families, he got down on his knee after we all said grace and happy tears flowed from everyones eyes as I said yes!!
