Jami went to the Main Street Honky Tonk in St. Charles one evening to see her friend, Denver, play music. She was enjoying dinner when this cowboy walked in. Chris was telling everyone it was his birthday. He requested many old school country songs and was enjoying asking the ladies to dance. The night ended without an invitation for a dance. The next night Jami and her friend Angie went back to the Honky Tonk to, once again, hear Denver play. This time Chris walked in and Jami said, "How was your birthday?" He gave a confused look and replied, "You were here last night." Jami said she was and he asked her if she'd like to dance. Denver began playing "Fishin' in the Dark" and Chris and Jami danced their first dance. When it was over, Jami thanked Chris for the dance and went back to her friend Angie. Denver began playing Jami's favorite song, "Neon Moon." Chris asked another lady to dance, and this did not set well with Angie. After the song ended, Angie went up to Chris and said, "how dare you dance with another woman to my best friend's favorite song!" Chris apologized and asked if both Jami and Angie would like to go somewhere else to talk. Chris and Jami talked more throughout the night and exchanged phone numbers. The night ended with Chris playing "Neon Moon" on his truck radio so they could dance to it before the night was over. Jami was pretty skeptical about this cowboy, but she's glad she gave him a chance.

It was a typical every other Wednesday at Edgewild Winery in Chesterfield, MO. Jami has been going to Edgewild every other Wednesday for more than five years. This time when she arrived her usual table was not where they were set up. Chris had arranged for two larger tables, with roses (Jami's favorite flower). Our good friends, Matt and Anthony, were playing music as they always do on these Wednesdays. Friends, Curtis, Mickey, Kellie, Riley, Sarah, Cassie and Shawn. And family, Uncle Bob and Robyn arrived. Matt and Anthony began playing "Neon Moon" and Chris asked Jami to dance. When they finished dancing Mickey and Kellie asked to take a selfie with Jami since we hadn't all been together in a while. As the selfie was being taken Matt asked Jami if she had any special requests for songs. She turned around and Chris was down on one knee with a ring and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes.
