We met online on the website Sovereign Grace Singles. We connected over our shared Christian faith and the fact that both of us were musicians and pianists. Our first conversations flowed very easily and naturally, and after messaging online for a couple of weeks, we started texting and having phone and video calls. Finally, on May 15 we met in person in Tupelo, Mississippi. Despite visiting a pathetic "art museum" and becoming dehydrated after going on a long walk with no water, we both felt comfortable around each other and realized that we had found someone very special.

I visited Isabel for a whole week during my Spring Break. On Saturday, we drove to her parents' house. After lunch, we walked to the bluffs on the back of their property, and found a spot with a beautiful view of the Red River winding through the valley. After spending a few minutes silently enjoying the view, I began a long speech describing all of the things I appreciated about Isabel and confessing my love for her. Finally, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She was so emotional that she couldn't even get out the word "yes," but she did give me a long hug, and eventually mumbled that she didn't think she could live without me. :)
