In November 2017, Chris and Hannah briefly met for the first time at the Scottsdale Polo Party. Their friend groups crossed paths and Chris and Hannah ended up having a casual conversation, but did not exchange numbers or information. Fast forward one year later, Hannah's sister Paige was at an annual Christmas party hosted by a mutual family friend, the Basile's. Paige met Chris at the party and immediately thought he would be a good fit for Hannah. She connected the two via FaceTime and Chris immediately recognized Hannah from their encounter at the Polo Party. After a few Instagram exchanges, Chris asked Hannah on their first official date one week later. The two reconnected at Scapegoat Wine Bar and had such a good time that they continued the date into the evening, exploring each other's favorite Old Town spots. The two were inseparable ever since.
