April 13th 2018: Dinner with Chris 1 Gina: "Can we split the bill?" Chris: "No- I've waited 12 years to take you out to eat" Gina: "Was it worth the wait?" You see, Chris is a man who knew what he liked at a young age; Gina was his middle school crush. While they met one summer night in a family friend's basement, the two went their separate ways-- Gina starting high school and Chris entering his sophomore year. Yet, they were never strangers to what was happening in each other's lives; even through college, Gina would meet up with her friend Katie who would always say, "Guess who asked about you again?" and the answer was always, "Chris." Gina was always curious to learn what Chris was up to too as she and Katie giggled over lunch at Turning Point. It wasn't until 2018 that they decided to venture out to grab dinner together. And once they started, they didn't stop! Gina kept track of all of their dinner dates in her agenda- "Dinner with Chris 1", "Dinner with Chris 2"... In the car ride to "Dinner with Chris 3", Gina just started to giggle-- she knew then that she loved him, but was too nervous to tell him. When she'd go to church on Sundays with her grandma, she'd sit in the pew and pray, "please just let him ask me out to dinner again" and every week, sometimes more than once a week, God answered her prayer. June 30th, 2018: Dinner with Chris 26 Chris: "Will you be my girlfriend?" Gina: "I guess so..." A house, a dog, and two years later, Chris asked Gina to marry him in Red Bank, the town where everything started for them, and this time, she confidently gave her answer: YES! Some people will argue that "kids are too young to fall in love", but that's where Chris's and Gina's story started; and, while they had to wait 12 years to come together, it was most certainly worth it!
