It all began in 2017 with an inconspicuous exchange, on the platform which is now known as “X”. Liz had expressed her yearning for donuts tweeting “I crave donuts 24/7”. From there, Chris saw this as an opportunity to see if she was interested. “If I could, I’d get you on that Krispy Kreme”, Chris subtweeted. Liz boldly DM’d Chris asking, “Are you going to bring me donuts or not?” From there began a 3-year long-distance friendship with Chris living in San Antonio and Liz living in El Paso. And yes, she got her donuts. During these 3 years, Chris and Liz grew fonder of one another. Their time together consisted of plenty of surprise visits, endless phone calls, and lots of "friend" dates in between. Not to mention a few drunk phone calls foreshadowing Chris would marry Liz one day. It was one weekend in March of 2020 that made quite the impression. Chris and Liz went to Whataburger after a fun night out at Later Later in El Paso and while they were there, Chris had a very interesting cough, one he had never experienced. It was that night, they first kissed and the pursuit began, along with the mysterious flu that came about the world and Liz was sick for days. On July 31st 2020, Liz and Chris officially began dating, he asked her during the sunset at the glorious Transmountain National Park. Within a month Liz would begin her 1st semester of PT school in Dallas. A much closer drive from San Antonio. Chris and Liz would make the 5.5 hour drive almost every weekend to see each other, Chris ultimately moved to Dallas for his first job after graduating St. Marys. The two have since moved back to San Antonio to be together in the same city at last. After dating 3 and a half years, 130,000 miles driving around Texas, and many shared memories Chris popped the question on December 9th, 2023 at La Cantera Resort where the two shared an intimate moment together...again in the sunset. They now have a family of four with their two furry kids, Lyla and Kiwi.
