Our love story became official high above the clouds, in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth, Machu Picchu, Peru. Surrounded by the incredible Andes Mountains, it was the perfect place to start the next chapter of our lives together. After a romantic train ride winding through mountain ranges and alongside rushing rivers, we arrived in the small town of Aguas Calientes. That’s where we met our guide, Andre, who unknowingly became part of one of the most special moments of our lives. While Dinorah was busy bargaining in the local market, I quietly shared my plan with him and he couldn’t wait to help make it happen. When we reached one of the most beautiful lookout points, Andre offered to take our photo. What Dinorah didn’t know was that he was also recording. On his cue, I took a deep breath, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry me. The cheers from the people around us filled the air, but all I could focus on was her saying “yes.” From that moment on, it truly felt like we were walking among the clouds of Machu Picchu.
