To people who are not Pittsburgh natives, the idea of a cookie table at a wedding may be quite strange, but the cookie table is a strong tradition that has stood the test of time in the Steel City. It's believed that it started during the Great Depression when many families could not afford a wedding cake. Instead, the bride's family and friends baked cookies as their contribution to the wedding. The cookie table is as much a part of Pittsburgh as the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins! And we can be sure of one thing, a Pittsburgh wedding isn't complete without one! If you'd like to participate (the bride lived in Pgh until she was 9!), please bake or buy a batch (2-3 dozen) of your favorite cookies to contribute. Bring them along with you to the wedding on 4/17, and our venue will handle the rest! Thank you! Happy baking!!

Yes, cocktail attire! Think florals for spring (groundbreaking), navy and shades of blue, little black dresses, etc!
It will start promptly at 4:30pm on 4/17. We recommend arriving around 4:15pm so you can get seated! Transportation via Krapf bus will leave the Kimpton Palomar at 3:30pm, aiming to arrive at Knowlton Mansion around 4:10pm. The bus will be waiting at the hotel for pickup by 3:15pm.
The Krapf bus will make two trips: one earlier shuttle will leave Knowlton Mansion at 8:30pm, and the second will leave Knowlton Mansion at the end of the reception, around 10:15pm.
**If you have any questions about the wedding (including day of), please text or call Stephanie Coyle, 240-377-6824**
