Historic Athens Porchfest
Sunday, October 19 -- Enjoy over 200 live porch concerts in historic neighborhoods, ~30 minute drive from the farm. Athens has a rich musical history and is the birthplace of bands such as R.E.M., The B-52s, Of Montreal, and Neutral Milk Hotel, and this live musical celebration is sure to be a blast. Also check out the "Boo-Le-Bark on the Boulevard" Dog Halloween Costume Parade in the same area, at 4:30 PM!
Athens Music Walk of Fame
New installation in the city honoring historic local musicians. Also be sure to check out Wuxtry Records (https://wuxtryrecords.com) and The Morton Theater (https://www.accgov.com/morton) as you pass by!
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia
Stroll greenhouses, gardens and trails, ~20 minute drive from the farm. One of the nicest botanical gardens we have visited in the country (and we've gone to quite a few over the last 10 years...).
Carter-Coile Country Doctors Museum
One of America's finest museums celebrating rural healthcare. Step inside Winterville's 1874 doctors office to examine authentic artifacts used by Northeast Georgia's country doctors as they tended to the medical needs of their community.
