Groom

Brittney Jenneford

Bride

sonya dhanpat

Matron of Honor

My name is Sonya (Sawn-Yuh), my closest friends call me Sonn (Sawn). I'm from North Central, Florida but my family relocated to Boston 3 years ago. I work in education management and have been for 20 years, I do a lot of adovacy work for BIPOC groups and I love it. I'm Brittney's Matron of Honor, I've been married for 7 years and have known Britt for 15+. She came for college as a freshman at the University of Florida and we we were connected through church. Britt wasn't the mentee I wanted, but the chosen family I needed. She's so forgiving and loyal. She's multifaceted-- I love the different Britts over the years. We are deeply integrated in one another's lives and I wouldn't have it any other way. We love to do nothing, belly laugh, and have the deepest conversations. We dream together. Britt carries my burdens as her own and I hold her up. We see each other and I'm grateful to share the same orbit.

nikkei adeniran

Bridesmaid

Hi, I'm Nikkei! I met Brittney in Atlanta almost 10 years ago when Jesus brought us together. I love trying new restaurants, eating the tastiest donuts, or doing yoga in the park with Britt as her partner in crime. I'm excited and honored to stand by Brittney’s side on her special day.

Bridesmaid

Hi, Jordan! I’m currently a traveling occupational therapist who lives in California. :) I’ve known and loved Brittney for over half our lives! I’ve been lucky enough to go through junior high, high school and college with her with all the milestones in between. I feel super excited and blessed to be able to celebrate this next big milestone by her side, love you so much Brittney Elizabeth!

brianca mikel

Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Brianca!   My friendship began with Brittney in high school, and quickly developed into some of the BEST times of my life throughout our college years. Our different paths landed me in Washington D.C. where I currently reside and work as a buyer, avoid all things political, and treat brunch as an Olympic sport. Brittney and I both love a good bottle of red, laughing until our stomachs hurt, and reminiscing the old glory days ❤ .

Matt Engelmann

Best Man

I met Chris when I was two and he was zero. We've spent a lot of time together since then and we've done some growing up. The rest is history. Honored to be part of their special day. I enjoy poetry but have hard time not being too wordy (that last part might have come from Chris).

Brandon Jenneford

Groomsman

Hi, I'm Brandon and the brother of the bride. I've been married for almost 4 years (snuck in our wedding just before the pandemic) and just had my first child, Cleo. I'm a union organizer and love to stay active within my community. When not organizing, I'm an avid reader, sports watcher, and amateur sports commentator (just ask my wife). I really got to know Chris on a trip to Disney and I look forward to gaining him as a brother, as that is something I always wanted. Now I will have a partner to make fun of my sister with ;)

Larry Mackey

Groomsman

My name is Larry Mackey and I am a friend of Chris’s from Chicago. We met through his efforts at being the best realtor in Chicago and he has now brokered three deals for me and my wife Gail. In the years we have known each other we have thoroughly enjoyed basketball, Devil’s Lake, Cribbage, DIY projects and any number of other ways to hang out including recently throwing axes at trees in the woods. When he introduced us to Brittney, I had one thought. Don’t mess this up Chris! I’m very happy for the soon to be newly weds and can’t wait to celebrate their special day starting their amazing journey together.

Nate Wiley

Groomsman

Chris and I met in 2011 as we both started working at Epic in the same new-hire class, traveled together to Tampa for customer trips (where Chris crushed a restaurant's challenge by eating three half pound, fully loaded burgers and a pound of fries in less than 10 minutes!!), and I schooled him in basketball. Some of my favorite memories with Chris include playing basketball, sand volleyball, hiking at Devil's Lake, him making and me eating deep dish pizza, and when he declined to officiate my wedding, which was a key moment in my path to coming to faith in Jesus Christ. I've been married to my amazing wife, Heidi, for almost ten years. We have two children, Oliver and Willow. I worked in the Technical Services role at Epic for 10 years, then made the 180 degree transition to custom woodworking for over a year, then tore my Achilles playing basketball, leading me to my current role back in the tech world at Anchor Group.

Andrew Costley

Groomsman

I met Chris while living in Evanston, IL where we attended the same church and eventually the same small group. Chris and I have stayed close friends even after we both moved away from Evanston. I currently live in Libertyville, IL with my wife Alex and our dog, Pillar. I run marathons, enjoy trying new foods (and craft beers), and like to travel, especially to places with fun outdoor activities. I am very excited to celebrate Chris & Brittney and their life together!
