We're getting married!

We met the way 40% of couples meet today... on a dating app. (Thanks, Hinge!) Who would have thought Chris would marry the first girl he met online?

Chris met Breanna out at a bar after she had brunch with some friends. He spent that night in her apartment, and then never left since we "sheltered in place" together.

We officially signed a lease in Downtown Brooklyn together and moved in. Even though we had lived together for five months already, Chris was happy to have all of his possessions in one place again.

For several months during the pandemic we looked into adopting a dog, but that was no easy feat in NYC. Breanna was telling her friends about this, and the very next day one of those friends received a text from HER friend in Philly asking if anyone was looking to adopt a puppy! She connected the foster mom with Breanna immediately, and a few days later Ollie took the train up to the big city to be welcomed into her furever home. As anyone who follows us on socials knows, OBSESSED would be an understatement to how we feel about her.

On October 2, Chris and Breanna had brunch at Chez Moi in Brooklyn. Then they headed back to the apartment, although Chris was acting really strange on the walk back. He kept telling Breanna to walk slower, and he even made a stop at Starbucks for a coffee he never touched. When we got back to the apartment, Chris told Breanna he was going to walk Ollie and "make a phone call." A few minutes later, Chris called her and asked her to meet him on the roof of their building. After she stepped out of the elevator he led her outside to a beautiful floral moment, and that's where he dropped down on one knee. She said yes, obviously. He had her sister and friends (AKA future bridemaids!) there to surprise her, and of course Ollie was in on it too with her "she said yes" shirt. It was a perfect day!
