If you know us, you know we spend a lot of time in Glacier National Park. If you are wanting to stay in the park, we highly encourage you to book in advance. From Kalispell, it is about a 40 minute drive to the West Glacier entrance. Going-to-the-Sun Road is about a 50 mile-long road that takes you from the East to the West entrance. At the West Glacier entrance, Apgar Village has a lot of cool things to do. You can rent a little motor boat to cruise around the lake, take a kayak, or just sit back and enjoy the views. We recommend you drive all the way to the East entrance to enjoy as much of the park as you can. The road is pretty busy, but NOTHING like 290 in Chicago :)
Whitefish Mountain (aka Big Mountain) is an awesome place to spend the day. You can hike, take a scenic ski lift ride to the top, zip-line, mountain bike (beginner to expert), alpine slide (kid friendly), enjoy the aerial adventure park, and do some summer sledding!
Downtown Whitefish is a big reason why people visit this area. There are a lot of cool shops, restaurants and bars to check out. Highly recommend checking out some of the great food options there!
Buffalo Hills Golf Club is a semi-private golf course in the middle of Kalispell. Chris has been a member at Buffalo Hill since we moved here and probably will be for life. It is a challenging course, with some tricky holes, but always a good time.
