COVID-19 You are currently NOT required to provide a negative COVID test when ENTERING Costa Rica. You are, however, required to complete an online Health Pass (link here: https://salud.go.cr) and have additional COVID-specific travel insurance when entering (we purchased here: https://tiendasagicor.com/en/). When returning to the US, you are required to provide proof of a negative COVID test (PCR or antigen) within 3 calendar days of your flight date. As we understand it, there are multiple locations in and around Tamarindo and nearby Huacas doing testing. We will provide more specific information as we receive it. Please find info from the U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica here: https://cr.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/. Getting to Tamarindo

The easiest way to get to Tamarindo is to fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR). Tamarindo is about a one hour drive from the Liberia airport, and approximately four hours from San Jose (SJO). Please email your flight itinerary and any questions to clewis3535@gmail.com.

Weather: Please prepare for temperatures ranging from 70-90 degrees. Rain is unlikely but afternoon thunderstorms are possible. Bugs: Please be prepared for bugs, primarily mosquitos. We recommend bringing your preferred bug spray, as it might not be available in Costa Rica.
