Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

We are hosting the wedding in Cartagena, COLOMBIA .... not Spain, just in case.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be at a nearby church about a 7 Min walk. We can coordinate transportation if you need a transfer to and from the church.

What is the timeline for the day?

Answer

We will start with a First Look photoshoot session with Groom and Bride this will occur before the ceremony. The religious ceremony will start at 7PM sharp. Allow enough time to get to the church and settle. The priest will start the ceremony on time. After the ceremony we will walk / dance back with palenqueras, this is a Colombian Tradition. The cocktail celebration will begin at 8:00 PM -1:00 AM at the Santa Catalina Hotel.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

There are some additional events, nothing formal just a way to gather and say hello to everyone. Please refer to the schedule page.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

With an abundance of caution and care for our guests, we have decided to marry in a small intimate ceremony. The wedding invite is only extended to the guest in the invitation for the reception. They are welcome to attend the religious ceremony, and the rest of the events .

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cartagena has a warm climate and the event will be outdoors. The attire dress code is Garden Attire. Garden party attire for a wedding is a semi-formal dress code. While your basics stay the same, dress for the ladies or light linen pants and blouse. For a wedding with garden party attire as the dress code, ladies should choose a semi-formal dress in a light pastel color or floral print. The length of the dress can range from above-the-knee to knee-length to maxi. For the gents' linen or dress pants with a guayabera or dress shirt. This is a great time to loosen up on the fit and get more adventurous with colors. Summery colors like pastels, coral, turquoise, and shades of tan and grey are definitely a great choice. Accessorize with floral prints for the perfect garden party look!

The sooner the better. We need to finalize all details by July 31st, 2022.

Do you need to be vaccinated to attend?

Answer

As we respect everyone's beliefs, we want everyone to be safe. We will follow the same guidelines as the hosting country and will just need everyone to test prior to the event. Colombia Guidelines: Vaccinated non-resident foreign travelers must present proof they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for at least 14 days prior to travel. If less than 14 days have elapsed or if the vaccination scheme is not complete, the traveler must present a PCR test with a negative result taken within 72 hours of boarding. Unvaccinated non-resident foreign travelers WILL NOT be allowed to enter Colombia.
