I missed my turn in Dahlonega and ended up going through the square instead of around it. I saw a beautiful red haired girl walking by and mourned the fact that I'd never get the chance to talk to her. A few months later I met Amanda online. Soon after we went on our first date. We ate dinner and played mini-golf; and somewhere over the course of our first few dates, I mentioned that missed turn and we worked out that it was her I saw walking through the square in Dahlonega that day. I got to talk to her after all ♥ Amanda is the most beautiful and amazing woman I have ever known and I am everlastingly lucky to have her.

I went with a friend to get supplies from the Dahlonega General Store to send to my pen pal in Canada. It was my first time off campus the entire semester and just so happened to be standing outside when Christopher passed me. I was completely unaware since a car passing by wasn't out of the ordinary. About 3 months later I started an online dating app where Christopher was the first guy I swiped on. But to my dismay he never sent me a message. I went on a few other dates with a guy who is now a good friend in Chicago. It wasn't until after my third date with my friend that Christopher finally asked me out. We decided to meet at Oaks Miniature Golf in Gainesville. I was so nervous about finally getting to meet the man I had been wanting to go out with for what felt like ages. As soon as I parked and walked around the large vehicle that was between us and saw his face, I knew that he was the one. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have been given that chance, how lucky I still am to have him and grateful that I will be by his side for the rest of my life. It still amazes me that he passed me in his car that day from missing his turn and we still ended up together.
