We met on AIM many moons ago! We were just teenagers at the time and talked all the time. We reconnected 10 years later on Facebook Messenger. Rekindled our connection in 2016. Our first date was in Zebulon near his parents house. I remember his brother, Derek being there when I came over and asked "where did you find this pretty little cupcake?!" haha. Chris just rolled his eyes and laughed. We went to dinner at Fargos. We went out on dates and talked for months. We have had our joys and heartbreaks, but we have made it through it all together. The rest is history and we have been together 6 years now! <3

Chris proposed at one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Raleigh, Second Empire. I could tell something was off that day. He told me to dress up and we were going out to dinner that night at our favorite restaurant. We were seated in a quiet corner of the restaurant, just the two of us. He was kind of nervous and didn't eat much at dinner. When dessert came he got quiet...which if you know Chris that is odd! lol With the dessert was a ring! He got down on one knee in the restaurant and proposed! I was shocked and excited! I said yes, he got up and kissed me, and gave a sigh of relief. He said he had been nervous and excited about it all day. The chef came out and congratulated us and gave us a special menu with our names and the date on it to commemorate the night. Overall, it was a beautiful and magical night <3
