We're getting married

The best things in life come when you least expect it. In December 2019, Chris and Allie had no expectation of finding love. Of course, that is exactly what they found. On December 23, 2019, Chris invited a few friends out to dinner. One of those people was one of Chris’s close friend from college, Amanda. What Chris didn’t know was that she was staying at Allie’s house that night and invited Allie to come to dinner with them. Lucky for Chris, the way to Allie’s heart is good wine, Italian food, and good friends. Chris and Allie ended up sitting next to each other at dinner and spent the entire night conversing and getting to know each other. In what can only be described as an epic blunder, Chris didn’t ask Allie for her phone number, despite an immediate infatuation with her. Luckily for Chris, he had fate on his side. A mere five days later Chris and Allie ended up at the same New Years Eve party. They immediately gravitated towards each other at the party and picked up exactly where they left off. The two spent the evening laughing and dancing together. Chris and Allie shared their first kiss at midnight. From that point on, they were inseparable. Over the course of the next year, Chris and Allie were tested. 2020-21 brought a global pandemic, two hurricanes, a week long winter storm, and a lot of uncertainty. However, Chris and Allie were certain in their relationship. Amidst all of the trials and tribulations that 2020 brought, the two grew closer together. In May, Chris decided that he couldn’t wait any longer to propose to Allie. In the midst of a particularly crazy month, Chris devised a fool proof plan to propose to Allie by the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Texas over Memorial Day weekend. By an act of God, the weather held off just long enough for Allie to say yes. Chris and Allie are so excited for the next chapter of their lives and look forward to celebrating their love with friends and family on January 14, 2022.
