Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts features beautiful art exhibits, and has free admission! They also have gorgeous outdoor areas. This is a great place to experience while visiting Richmond!
Belle Isle
Belle Isle is a city park that is part of the James River. Large, flat rocks surrounding the island make for good sunbathing! There are many trails around the park such as wooded trails and mountain biking trails. Other features include historical sites, wheelchair-accessible fishing at the quarry pond, and a granite wall for rock climbing. We love coming here any time of year!
Downtown Richmond
There are so many places to visit downtown! One of our favorite parts is Cary Street. Whether it's a cute little diner you find or a unique thrift shop, there is always something to do!
Maymont Park
Maymont is a 100-acre Victorian estate and public park in Richmond. It contains Maymont Mansion, now a historic house museum, an arboretum, formal gardens, a carriage collection, native wildlife exhibits, a nature center, and Children's Farm. Such a beautiful place to visit!
Uptown Alley
Bowling on high-tech lanes with HDTVs & auto-scoring, plus a huge arcade, and a lounge with live music!

The Children's Museum is a non-profit indoor museum for children that allows playing as well as giving learning experiences.
The Poe Museum
The Poe Museum is dedicated to Edgar Allen Poe and the time he spent living in Richmond.
