Alayna and Chris’s story began with a twist of fate—Alayna accidentally sent a text to the wrong number, which turned out to be Chris’s. They soon arranged to meet for the first time at the Cheesecake Factory in Chattanooga, TN. At the time, Chris was living with a friend in Soddy Daisy, TN, while Alayna was staying in Knoxville with her brother and his friends. Over time, Chris moved in with Alayna, commuting weekly to Chattanooga for work. A few months later, they decided to settle into an apartment together in Red Bank, TN. In May 2021, Chris proposed in the sweetest way—at their baby shower. He presented Alayna with a custom onesie that read, “Mommy, will you marry my daddy?” Overwhelmed with emotion, she tearfully said yes. Just one month later, in June, they welcomed their son, Elijah Cox, into the world, marking the beginning of their beautiful family journey.
