While technically we met in September of the previous year, in March of 2013 we reconnected thanks to the scheming of our two good friends (shoutout to Bruce and Kat!) and immediately recognized how much we enjoyed each other's company. On April 15, 2013, a group of our friends all gathered at Liza's Boston apartment, planning to head down to Boylston street to watch the Boston Marathon. We never made it downtown, as news broke that there was a bombing at the finish line. In the lockdown that ensued, we ended up spending the whole day cooped up together with friends in the tiny Fenway apartment, and the rest is history!
On our 8th anniversary, we planned a trip to New Hampshire to get away for a long weekend. Before we left town, Chris brought Liza to the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, Boston, a place that holds a lot of significance to us. Chris led Liza up to the top of a hill in the middle of the park where there are sweeping views of the Boston skyline, and proposed. Asked and answered. We are so excited to celebrate this special day with our closest family and friends. Thank you for being here!
