What day should I arrive to make it to the wedding?

Answer

We recommend by Thursday, but the wedding ceremony isn't until Friday (start time likely 5pm or later).

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Casual wedding attire- the ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception will be on the beach. We invite you to wear vibrant, colorful attire to add a fun pop of color to our day! Women: dresses in light fabrics like cotton, linen, or chiffon Men: slacks, button-up shirts, light-colored blazers (optional) - you can forgo the ties! Shoes: anything you want but we'll be in the sand so barefoot is highly encouraged; otherwise sandals, wedges, flats, or loafers

Is there a minimum required stay?

Yes - there's a 4-night minimum. If you want to come but can't commit to 4 nights, please let us know & we'll look into it for you!

Answer

Yes - we recommend booking your room through our travel advisors. We've secured blocks at the Maya & Lindo with great rates and many options to suit your fancy!

What are the 5 resorts within the Iberostar complex?

Answer

1. Joia/Grand- top tier, adults only (most premium option, offering unrestricted access to all 5 of the resorts within this complex) 2. Maya- 4th tier (where the wedding will be & where most of our guests will stay; access to everything except the Joia resort) 3. Lindo- 3rd tier (with access to the Beach & Del Mar; we've also secured an amazing perk if you book within our room block, you will have access to almost everything at the Maya as well! rooms are a bit smaller but this resort is less expensive than the Maya if you're looking for a more cost-effective option) **The Beach & Del Mar (lowest 2 tiers- we don't recommend since you won't have access to the Lindo or Maya)**

What is Star Camp?

Answer

It's a kids' club program designed to offer children of different age groups (from infant to teens) a fun and safe space to enjoy their vacation while parents relax. It's free of charge and typically runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. Kids 0-3 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult. Activities include arts & crafts, outdoor games, mini disco, sports, adventuring, interactive games, movie nights, & karaoke. You can sign-up your kids during check-in or at the Star Camp desk at the resort. *babysitting services are also available for a fee

How much will it cost to stay at Iberostar?

Answer

There's many factors-- length of your stay (reminder of the 4-night minimum), which resort you choose within the complex (see below), location within the resort (i.e. near pool, near beach, tropical view, suite), how many water slides you want directly from your balcony into the pool, & how many people are in your room (more people in your room= more cost effective). Joia/Grand= most expensive Maya= cheaper than Joia Lindo= most cost-effective but smaller rooms Estimates for a 4 night stay in a double occupancy room: Joia= $1,394+ per person Maya= $900+ per person Lindo= $800+ per person ***prices include: shuttle services to/from airport & all-inclusive food/drinks

Can I stay anywhere in the Iberostar complex?

Answer

Yes - but read above for restrictions on accessing other resorts, pools, restaurants, bars etc.! As of now, we've reserved room blocks at the Maya and Lindo. The wedding will be on the beach of the Maya.

Can I stay somewhere else outside of the Iberostar complex?

Answer

Of course, you could stay somewhere else... but then you'd miss out on all the fun, easy access to wedding events, and unlimited drinks with us. Your call! *FYI - if you aren't a guest of the resort, there's a $100 fee per person just to access Iberostar for the day and come to the wedding

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

We'll be coordinating Iberostar shuttles to whisk you away to paradise. It’s about a 30-minute ride to the resort, so make sure you like the people in your shuttle—or at least hope they packed drinks to share! ***If you book through our room block, your shuttle is already covered so there's no extra charge! ***If you choose to book outside the room block, you'll need to arrange your own transportation to the resort. The fee is typically $50-$75 per person per way.

If I don’t have a passport, what’s the process?
