Yes! We have a block of rooms reserved at the Indigo Hotel in Downtown Memphis. Information about the block is in the Travel section of the website (https://www.zola.com/wedding/chris-austin/travel). The cut off date for the block is 5PM CT on August 9, 2023. If you don't want to stay in the block, the following hotels are nearby: The Peabody, Hotel Napoleon, Courtyard by Marriott, MOXY Memphis, and the Hu Hotel. There are also some AirBnB locations near the venue, but we do NOT recommend those in the Exchange building.
Our wedding attire is semi-formal. Semi formal wedding attire sits at the sweet spot between understated dressy and elevated casual. It’s also commonly referred to as “dressy casual” — which can be viewed as a weekend version of business casual. Think: flowy dresses, simple suit jackets, and timeless silhouettes.
The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 PM, so guests should arrive 15 minutes or so before that time. After the ceremony, we will move straight to the reception, so starting on time gives us more time to enjoy your company and to celebrate together!
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event (minus a few nieces and nephews) so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us, let loose, and not have to worry about setting a good example for your kids.
Our wedding and reception venue are entirely indoors. It's still hot in Memphis in September, so we opted for the air conditioning so that hopefully the only sweating you'll be doing is from showing your best dance moves.
If you're staying in our room block at the Indigo Hotel, you can simply walk across the street to the venue. If you live in town and are driving to the venue, take Interstate 40 to 2nd Street, then turn left on to Court. At the Corner of Court and BB King (formerly 3rd Street), there is a paid parking lot that is adjacent to and behind our venue. Want covered parking? The Indigo Hotel at BB King and Court is also available and in walking distance.
Due to capacity limits set by our venue, the only guests invited to attend will be listed on your invitation. If anything changes during the RSVP process, we will do our absolute best to accommodate additional guests. Questions about this? Just ask us.
