We met at church.
Yes! We met at a Bible study — but that first week was so much more than that! We played trivia, went for a run, and got ice cream at three different places. What stood out most about Nathan was how thoughtful he was — like choosing the passenger seat while we were sharing ice cream in the car so I could hear him better (I can’t hear out of my left ear). And when I mentioned it was National Croissant Day, he brought croissants to Bible study that week — so yes, I noticed. After a week of spending time together as friends, Nathan asked me out while driving me to dinner with friends. What should’ve been a quick 10-minute drive turned into 20 as he kept missing turns... I suspect nerves had something to do with it. He didn’t need to worry, though — I said yes! I was nervous about starting something new while waiting to hear back from medical schools, but Nathan was ready to take the risk. Two days after we decided to start dating, I got the call — I’d been accepted to Georgetown! Since then, we’ve been rollerblading, cheering at Orioles games, trying new recipes, and traveling to Georgia, Mexico, Arizona, and more. Through every season, we’ve seen God’s hand in our story — and we can’t wait to see where He leads us next as husband and wife!
