When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by August 26th.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:00pm. To avoid being late and missing anything we recommend arriving no later than 3:30pm, to ensure parking and finding a seat before it starts! Keep in mind that the ceremony is only a couple blocks away from the reception area.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space at our venue, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one it will appear under your name when your RSVP through the website. Please be sure to list the name of the guest who will be joining you.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, due to the limited space at our venue we have decided to keep our wedding adults only with exception of our nieces. We encourage you to use this as a date night to get out and have some fun!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

You should be able to find street parking in the area but it may take some time and there is no guarantee. We recommend using Uber or the shuttle for your transportation.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a discounted room block at the Bahia Resort Hotel. Please call (858) 488-0551 and mention Schindler Wedding to book your room. Please feel free to stay anywhere though. There are so many great places to stay, both Airbnb's and hotels, so it really depends on what you are looking for and price point. The venue is called the Cuvier Club and is located in La Jolla. There's a boutique hotel right across the street called the Orli La Jolla which is a great choice. Other walkable options include the Empress Hotel, Grande Colonial, La Valencia, and Pantai Inn. There are plenty of other less pricy options outside of La Jolla that are just a quick Uber ride away.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes, please indicate all food allergies when you RSVP and the venue will do its best to accommodate the request.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle to the ceremony from the Bahia Resort and back after the reception. We will also be providing transportation from the venue to the after party!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, beach formal attire for the wedding. We like cool bow ties and other snazzy accessories ;)
