Alex and Bre met in 2022, when she got hired at their workplace. What began as a friendly working relationship gradually turned into something more. At first, Alex wasn’t sure where things were headed. He enjoyed her company, and found her to be cute, but he didn’t overthink it. Still, it didn’t take long before he found himself thinking about her, wanting to spend time together outside of work, and realizing that this connection felt different. Bre had plans to move back to her home state, and Alex was aware of that from the beginning. That's when she decided to ask him out. Part of him tried to stay realistic, not wanting to get too invested in something that might be temporary. When Bre ultimately decided to stay, it felt like a turning point. It felt like it was a sign that they were building something worth holding onto. Over the next couple of years, they built a solid life together. They leaned on each other through everyday ups and downs, creating a sense of stability and comfort. Alex found in Bre a partner who challenged him, grounded him, and brought out his best self, often without trying. With Alex, Bre found a sense of calm that she was missing. He became a place of safety, helping her feel grounded and secure in a way she hadn’t experienced before. On Christmas Day 2023, Alex proposed. It was a decision he’d thought through carefully, but the answer had felt clear for a long time. And she certainly made it clear she wanted it too. He wanted to spend his life with her, and she with him. On November 8th, they’ll celebrate that decision and the life they’ve built so far: a story that began with timing neither of them planned, but one that grew into something real, lasting, and full of promise.
