Things To Do in Winter Haven
Bok Tower Gardens
Bok Tower Gardens is a beautiful 250 acre property that includes walking trails through the gardens, scenic views of the orange groves, and you can listen to the singing tower at 1pm and 3pm each day. We highly recommend visiting and it is great for all ages!
Cherry Pocket Steak n Seafood
This is one of our favorite spots and is an absolute must if you're visiting Polk County! They have live music, seafood, and it's located directly on the water! Can't recommend this spot enough!
Port 27
Port 27 is a family friendly brewery located directly on Lake Hamilton just off Highway 27. It also includes several shops, food carts, jet ski rentals, and live music several nights a week!
Circle B Bar Reserve
If you would like to enjoy some Florida wildlife, Circle B is the place to go! This free wildlife preserve is about a 25 minute drive from Winter Haven and includes some of the largest alligators in Florida, turtles and tortoises, birds, and much more!
Born & Bread Bakehouse
If you find yourself in Lakeland, then you have to visit Born & Bread Bakehouse! They have the absolute best pastries in Florida and it is a must try!
West Central Avenue
For great bars and restaurants that are very walkable, head to downtown Winter Haven! On Central Ave, we suggest Aria's Steakhouse, Ave. Bar, Sauvage, and the Union Taproom for local, self-serve beers and ciders. Some other bars throughout downtown that we enjoy include Barrel 239, Jenson's Corner Bar, and Jessies.
Honeycomb Bread Bakers
Honeycomb is a small, local bakery located in downtown Winter Haven. They have some great brunch options, fantastic baked goods, and some of the best coffee and tea in town!
