In the summer of 2021, we both found ourselves at Seville, a bar in NYC that neither of us usually went to. We didn’t really connect that night, but fate had other plans. A few weeks later, we matched on Hinge and decided to plan our first date at Dante, known for its top-notch cocktails. Josh, who was still figuring out the New York scene, didn’t realize reservations at Dante were a must. So, when we met up at Dante for the first time and discovered we couldn't get in, we had to think fast! We ended up at a cozy little dive called Shade Bar nearby in the Village. The rest, as they say, was history. We quickly fell in love over our shared passion for NYC, its incredible restaurants (shoutout to our favorites, Bond St, Estela, and John's), and our love of travel. We’ve had some unforgettable adventures together, from the beaches of Costa Rica to the charm of Paris, the beauty of the French Riviera, the rolling hills of Tuscany, and the vibrant energy of Ibiza and Mallorca. By the summer of 2023, we knew it was time to take the next big step and move in together. The Upper West Side felt like the perfect spot for our first place—it was close to Columbia Business School, where Chloe was starting her MBA, and also convenient to Josh’s Skadden office in Hudson Yards. In January 2024, Josh proposed at the Dumbo waterfront, which is a really special place for us because one of our first dates was there. It just felt right to get married in NYC, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all our loved ones.
