Things To Do
Beaches
Our two favorite beaches are Wells Beach and Drake's Island Beach. Wells Beach is within walking distance of a smoothie shop, candy store, restaurant, and other small shops. Drake's is a bit quieter since there are no hotels on that side of the jetty, but both are great!
Hiking & Walking
There are lots of beautiful walks in the area. Below are a few of our favorites: 1. Marginal Way in Ogunquit. A beautiful 1.2 mile scenic cliff walk. No dogs are allowed. 2. The Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge Hiking Trail (321 Port Rd, Wells, ME 04090). This is an approximately 1 mile loop along the marsh with beautiful ocean views. The trail is flat and not usually too busy, so a great place to bring kids (stroller friendly) and dogs. 3. Kennebunk Plains (Webber Hill Rd). This is one of our favorite place to bring Bodie for a nice stroll or run! The entire trail is flat and pretty exposed, so might not be the best option if it is super hot, but otherwise we highly recommend!
Shopping
Downtown Kennebunkport and Ogunquit are great places to spend an afternoon. There are tons of shops, candy stores, restaurants, and bars. The Kittery Outlets are also close by if you want to get some serious shopping in.
