Hiking at White Memorial Conservation Center

For our active guests, check out the White Memorial Foundation's 40 miles of hiking and biking trails. The trails are open to the public, and free of charge. We heard a rumor that the leaf-peeping will be top-notch this time of year! Directions can be found here: https://whitememorialcc.org/directions/

Drinking at Litchfield Distillery

Drinking at Litchfield Distillery

569 Bantam Road, Litchfield, CT 06759

For our alcohol-enthusiasts, Litchfield Distillery is the activity for you! Since 2014, the Litchfield Distillery has been making and bottling small-batch craft spirits, and is such a great place to check out when visiting the area. Every day, the distillery offers free tours to visitors, as well as tastings, so you’ll learn about the process behind the spirits, and the efforts they make to source the best ingredients from local farmers. The business is family-run, and makes their own bourbon, gin, vodka, and also premade cocktail mixers.

Wine Tasting at Sunset Meadows Winery

Wine Tasting at Sunset Meadows Winery

Lots of indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the vines, and an impressive range of wines. The big draw: Specialty Chocolates & Pairings are available every day the tasting room is open.

Immerse Yourself in the Scenes of Gilmore Girls with a Visit to Washington Depot

Immerse Yourself in the Scenes of Gilmore Girls with a Visit to Washington Depot

4 Green Hill Rd, Washington Depot, CT 06794

For those who share in Chloe's healthy obsession of "Gilmore Girls" (her favorite TV series), a quick 10 minute drive to Washington Depot, CT may spark your interest. Like Litchfield itself, it is among the group of quaint Connecticut towns which helped inspire the setting of Stars Hallow. We hope the trip may even inspire some extra verbal creativity and witty banter as you explore the local cafe, hardware store, or Mayflower Inn.
