We originally met at the freshman welcome at Colorado Mesa University where Chloe told her friend that she wanted to be friends with the first person that she met. So she turned to her right, tapped on a guy's shoulder and said "Hi I'm Chloe" and that person was Xavier! Fast forward about a month later and by mutual friends we were reintroduced. At the time we both had said we just wanted to be friends, but we couldn't help but want to spend time together. All of a sudden every minute we wanted to be in each other's presence and it all just clicked together. We realized from the beginning that we meant a lot to each other and didn't want to ever have to be without the other. The rest is history.

On a weekend away in Colbran, CO we went to go and take pictures together on the way up to the Grand Mesa. We had decided to climb up a trail for a little at the old ski hill, cross over water on a half-broken bridge, and hike even farther to a waterfall. As Xavier was setting up his phone for us to take our picture, we posed and suddenly he got down on one knee and popped the question! Chloe was so surprised and happy but was having that feeling all morning that today could be the day! We then spent the rest of our weekend relaxing and calling our family members with the exciting news.
