This is a story about how Shane and Chloe's love story began in San Diego, and it was truly love at first sight. Ever since that initial weekend spent together, they found themselves caught in a whirlwind of love, flying back and forth between San Diego and Houston every month, taking turns to see each other. The long-distance relationship between them forced them to connect in a unique way, different from traditional dating. They got creative, inventing ways to have dates over the phone, making it feel as if they were actually present with each other despite the miles that separated them. San Diego remained a magical place for both of them, where they first met and continued to create cherished memories. Chloe, being a San Diego native, planned all sorts of adventures for their visits – from exploring local beaches to attending Padres games, from whale watching to hiking Cowles Mountain and other scenic trails, from sightseeing in Balboa Park to biking in Coronado. To this day their all time favorite thing to do whenever back in San Diego is to watch the sunset at Kate Sessions with a Juice Kaboose acai bowl! In Houston, Shane returned the favor, arranging fun activities such as attending Astros and Rockets games, leisurely strolls through Memorial Park, rock climbing, and road trips to Austin, among other adventures. After a year of enduring the trials and tribulations of a long-distance relationship, Shane decided to make a move. He asked Chloe to move in with him, bridging the gap and starting their life together. Chloe quickly found a job in the Texas Medical Center as a PACU Registered Nurse and became a dog mom to their two furry boys, Oliver and Toby. Life was good, but little did they know that it was about to get even better. Traveling is a passion they both shared, and they had the privilege of exploring many places together. However, when a trip to BANFF was on the horizon, it seemed like just another exciting adventure. Little did Chloe know that this journey would be the one to take their relationship to a whole new level. In the breathtaking surroundings of Moraine Lake, with its glacial blue waters, Shane decided to pop the question. He proposed to Chloe, and her ecstatic "I do" was accompanied by her classic squeals of excitement that all of her friends and family know so well. After the proposal, they canoed together on the same blue waters with their two friends, creating an almost surreal and beautiful moment. Looking back on their journey, they realized that their connection was undeniable from the moment they first met. They were each other's soulmates, and as the saying goes, "it's love at first sight." Their love has continued to grow and deepen day by day, and their journey together has been nothing short of magical.
