We met on the day Sami moved into the apartment complex where Chloe was living, right after we had both finished our first year of residency. It was one of those moments that felt ordinary at the time—new keys, new routines, a familiar kind of exhaustion—but it quietly turned into the beginning of something much bigger. What started as a shared place and season of life grew into shared days, shared dreams, and a partnership built with intention. Over the next four years, we traveled the world together, built a home filled with laughter and comfort, and became proud co-parents of a tuxedo cat named Ella, who very clearly runs the household. Looking back, it’s hard to believe how much life unfolded from that first meeting. What began as a simple crossing of paths became a life we’re endlessly grateful to share.
