It all started in June 2024. Ryland and Chloe met at a wedding where they were sat directly across from each other. As the reception was going on they started to talk and bonded over neither of them wanting to go and dance.. so they talked instead. They took a picture at the end of the night and Ryland sent his number and the picture to Chloe (who didn’t share her number back) and it wasn’t until much debating and 3 days later did Chloe message Ryland. From then on they messaged every day until they ended up starting to date, then they talked on the phone every day. Many road trips and flights began as they navigated their long distance relationship. They dated and spent as much time as possible together on weekend trips for 7 months before getting engaged.

The Engagement

They talked about what they wanted earlier on in the dating process. While they were in Florida for Chloe’s brother’s wedding they got their ring sizes and decided on what they wanted. Ryland then got a custom one made for Chloe, using parts from his Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers rings. With the stone that she wanted, he was able to make a beautiful heirloom gold ring with a dark green sapphire. Ryland decided to surprise Chloe with the proposal at a “5 year Bethel Anniversary”. There they got engaged under a tree covered in lights surrounded by candles with everyone looking at them from inside the house. Everyone cheered and love filled the room as they went back inside to celebrate. Then the wedding planning began!
