Arriving in Milan

Our wedding will be held in the stunning Lake Como region, and the closest major airport is Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP), located about 50 km south-west of the lake. For most of our guests traveling from North America, major international airlines, including Air Canada, WestJet, and Lufthansa, offer direct flights to Milan. For those already traveling within Europe, affordable carriers like Ryanair or EasyJet provide more frequent and budget-friendly flights into Milan. From Milano Malpensa Airport, you can take a taxi or shuttle to Milan city center, where Milano Centrale Train Station is located. The trip typically takes around 40 minutes.

Getting from Milan to Lake Como

Once you arrive at Milano Centrale Station, you’ll take a direct train to Como San Giovanni Station. The train journey is very scenic and takes about 30 minutes, depending on the service. Upon arrival at Como San Giovanni Station, taxis are readily available outside to take you directly to your accommodation. Taxis in Lake Como generally accept contactless payment methods, including credit and debit cards. However, it’s always a good idea to have some cash on hand, just in case.

Where To Stay in Lake Como

We strongly recommend staying in Lenno or Tremezzo, as these towns are the closest and most convenient to wedding venue. It's important to note that the venue is only accessible by boat. On the day of the wedding, we will provide private boat transportation from the port in Lenno to take you directly to the venue. More details like time and exact location will be shared closer to the wedding date. The following hotels below are either in Lenno or Tremezzo and come highly recommended by our wedding planner. They offer a range of options in terms of style and budget, ensuring there’s something for every guest. Additionally, there are several Airbnb options in Lake Como at all diffrent price ranges. However, we kindly ask that all accommodations be booked within Lenno or Tremezzo to ensure ease of access to the wedding venue.
