Our story began back in high school, where we first met and shared an off-and-on relationship throughout those early years. Even then, there was a connection—something real—but life had its own plans for us. We went our separate ways for college, each chasing our own goals and growing in our own ways. In August of 2023, life brought us back into each other’s orbit. We reconnected as friends, catching up on lost time and reminiscing about old memories. It felt easy—familiar—but we didn’t think much of it at first. Then came an unexpected moment that changed everything. During a road trip, Chloe and her mom’s car broke down in Mississippi. Without hesitation and without being asked, Michael drove all the way there to help. That single act of kindness and love said more than words ever could. After that, something shifted. What started as friendship quickly became something more. There were surprise flowers, thoughtful dates, and meaningful time spent with family. We realized how naturally we fit into each other’s lives—and how deeply we cared. On October 31, 2023, we officially began dating again, this time with clearer hearts and a stronger sense of what we wanted. Even through long distance—while Michael pursued his basketball career in Louisiana and New Mexico—our bond only grew. The challenges of distance reminded us just how much we meant to one another. When he moved back home, everything clicked. Being in the same place, at the same time, with the same vision for the future—it all felt right. We knew we wanted to build a life together. On April 27, 2025, we got engaged. Now, we’re getting ready to say “I do,” grateful for every twist and turn that brought us back to each other. This may be the start of our forever, but our love has already been a journey—and we can’t wait for all that’s still to come.
