Explore Charleston

Whether it's your first time in Charleston or your fifth, there is always something to do and somewhere new to explore! Here are some recommendations to get you started.

King Street

Walk down King Street for classic Southern charm.

Browse local boutiques, enjoy great food and cocktails, and admire the historical architecture.

Charleston City Market

A historic open-air market from the 1800s,

featuring local vendors, handcrafted sweetgrass baskets, art, and other gifts that reflect the city's rich culture and heritage.

Palmetto Carriage Works

One of the best ways to explore the city.

Take a 1-hour guided carriage tour to discover Charleston's Historic District. For a spookier twist, try a local ghost tour after dark!

Rainbow Row

A renowned block of historic pastel homes.

Located on East Bay Street, in between Tradd Street and Elliot Street. Snap a picture and continue your walk to the waterfront.

Waterfront Park + The Battery

See the Pineapple Fountain!

A scenic stretch along the Charleston Harbor featuring water views and shaded walkways.

Shem Creek

Great area just outside of the city filled with lots to do.

Stroll the boardwalk, admire the shrimping boats, and enjoy food and drinks with a beautiful waterfront view.

Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

Iconic city bridge with stunning harbor and city views.

You can walk or bike across it, and enjoy the park on the Mount Pleasant side for a scenic stop.

Sullivan's Island

Our favorite beach in South Carolina.

Relax on the beach, visit historic Fort Moultrie, and grab a bite and drinks at local favorites like Poe’s Tavern, Home Team BBQ, or Dunleavy’s Pub.
