They met at the age of 13 through mutual school friends. They remained friends for the following 4 years, until Luke finally wore Chloe down!

They travelled to Paris on 22nd September 2023, where they attended the Ireland v South Africa game in the Rugby World Cup. The next day, they explored Paris and ended their trip with a visit to the Eiffel Tower at night. Walking away from the Eiffel Tower to go for dinner, Luke got down on one knee- much to Chloe's surprise! Through laughing, crying and general shock, she said "Yes!". Everyone will remember the engagement photo, as Chloe sported bright green nails in support for Ireland. After a long wait, they did go for a lovely dinner and drank lots of wine under the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower.
