The future...

Jey took a chance on Chloe, even though she repeatedly pushed him away. He simply said, "That's okay, I'll wait as long as I have to." And he did just that. After picking up a secret second job to take Chloe on dates, and waiting ever so patiently. Finally, after almost a full year, it finally clicked for Chloe; she snapped her head to look at Jey on September 15th, 2022, and exclaimed, "Why aren't you my boyfriend?!" "I've been waiting on you!!" he laughed back. Flash forward to June of 2023, Jey was deployed overseas. They fully believe this experience brought them closer together, even though they were thousands of miles apart. After almost a full year of tears, choppy desert facetimes, and overpacked care packages later. They were reunited. And have been connected at the hip ever since. In September of 2025, they took a road trip to New Orleans to see one of Chloe's favorite artists, Hozier. The day before the concert, Jey took Chloe to the top of the New Orleans observatory to overlook the city. They walk around the top, taking in the beautiful views. Jey finally drops to one knee and tells Chloe he cannot imagine spending one more day of his life just being her boyfriend, and asks for her hand in marriage. Through lots of happy tears, Chloe finally gets out the words, "Yes! Oh my god, yes!" And now they are lucky enough to spend the rest of their lives together. Here's to forever!
