We met through mutual friends on the very first day that Jason moved to Grand Rapids. We had known the same people and even lived in the same town prior to Grand Rapids for years, despite being from opposite sides of the state, and never crossed paths until September 2023 when we were introduced while Jason was moving into his apartment. We spent a lot of time together over the next few months as friends, until one night Jason made a move, which actually caught me very off guard! Saying yes to that first date was one of the best things both of us has ever done. We knew very quickly that we had both found our person, as every step in our relationship has felt natural and effortless. Though life has thrown some hard times our way, our relationship has always been home to us. A place where we can both rest, be ourselves and know that the other has our back no matter what. Jason proposed on December 14, 2024 in front of the Christmas tree in Rosa Parks Circle Downtown Grand Rapids after spending just over a year together. As you can probably gather, I said yes! While taking our time to plan the wedding, we purchased our first home in the spring of 2025. We are feeling very fortunate we were able to do this and are enjoying homeownership! This was all in the Lord's timing and we could not be more grateful for the ways he prepared us both for each other and this time in our lives. He has blessed our relationship in so many ways already, including our wonderful community of family and friends. We cannot wait to celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives with all of you!
