Isaiah and Chloe met the weekend of his friend's and her sister's wedding. Little did they know, Rory, Chloe's brother-in-law and Isaiah's friend, had been trying to set them up for quite some time. They ended up meeting the night before the wedding at Isaiah's brother's house and they started talking. At the wedding, they were pretty much together all night long. Isaiah helped Chloe with all of her maid of honor duties for her sister, and he helped pack up the car and clean up afterwards. The next day, he invited Chloe to church and introduced her to his friends and family. After church, he came back to her parent's place and met almost her entire extended family. That night, they had their first official date which was dinner and then a walk on the beach. They went on a couple more dates the next several days until Chloe had to go back to North Carolina and Isaiah had to go back to Alaska. They decided it was worth the hardship of long distance to continue to date and get to know each other. So they FaceTimed and texted and wrote letters and planned trips to go visit each other. A couple months later, Chloe made a trip up to Alaska, and that's when Chloe decided that Isaiah was the man she wanted to marry. (Isaiah says he knew the moment he met her.) In November, he came down to North Carolina, then to Florida, and asked for her dad's blessing. They continued to date long distance with trips every month to see each other. There were many long nights, late conversations, and time spent getting to know one another more. In February, Isaiah surprised her and flew down to Florida to propose. At the end of March, Chloe moved to Alaska and they eloped! And in the fall, they are excited to have a ceremony and reception that their family and friends are able to come to and celebrate with them!
