We're getting married!

Some love stories begin with candlelit dinners or long walks on the beach. Ours? It started with fried chicken. When Huichan asked me on our first date, he suggested BBQ Chicken in Buena Park. My first thought? Who takes a girl to a chicken place on a first date? But then, I figured—this is either the most innocent or the most genius move ever. Either way, I was intrigued. Turns out, it was both. Over crispy, saucy goodness, we laughed, talked, and I quickly realized something: if we could have this much fun while covered in wing sauce, maybe this was something special. From that moment on, life with Huichan has been a series of unforgettable (and occasionally ridiculous) adventures. We’ve survived a nine-hour Tesla road trip (range anxiety is real), engaged in intense snack debates (sweet vs. salty—an ongoing war with no peace treaty in sight), and discovered that no matter what happens, we can always count on each other—and good food—to make everything better. Then came the moment. Before proposing, Huichan secretly invited his parents all the way from Korea to the U.S. That’s when it hit me—this man wasn’t just serious about me. He was serious about us, about family, about a lifetime together. And at that moment, I knew: he is the one. And now, here we are—getting ready to say “I do,” still laughing, still eating, and still debating whether BBQ Chicken should cater the wedding.
