We met in sophomore year gym class when we were just 15 years old. It was one of those moments you don’t forget — the second we looked at each other, we couldn’t look away. What started as an ordinary day quickly turned into the beginning of something that would change our lives forever. After a very competitive game of badminton (where Chloe definitely beat Hayden), we started talking… and we never stopped. From October until December 22nd, we talked every single day. On December 22nd, Hayden finally asked Chloe to be his girlfriend, and we have been together ever since. We finished high school side by side and chose to continue our journey together at Centenary University, where we were both blessed to compete as collegiate lacrosse players. Through early morning lifts, long practices, classes, and all the highs and lows that come with growing up, we’ve navigated every season of life hand in hand. We’ve learned, grown, and built a life together, always choosing each other along the way. Travel has always been such a big part of our story. After graduating high school, we took our very first trip together to Myrtle Beach, which was Chloe’s first time ever on a plane! Since then, we’ve made it a tradition to explore somewhere new every year. Experiencing new places, trying new foods, and collecting memories around the world together has become one of our favorite things. One of our favorite traditions happens every Sunday. We take turns planning surprise dates for each other. On Sunday, December 17th, 2023, it was Hayden’s turn. He told Chloe he wanted to take her to her favorite kind of restaurant (Mexican), and that she should dress up (because he knows she loves any excuse to get dressed up). On the way to dinner, we made a stop at a park with a beautiful view of New York City. While we were taking in the skyline and the moment together, Hayden got down on one knee and asked Chloe to spend forever with him. It was perfect. And the surprises didn’t stop there. When we arrived at the restaurant, all of our closest friends were waiting to celebrate with us. From 15-year-olds in gym class to building our forever, we have loved each other through every chapter of life. We truly grew up together, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
