What makes The Northorpe Barn truly special is that it forms part of the Northorpe Hall Child & Family Trust. This means that every penny raised from weddings and events held at the Barn goes directly to the charity, supporting the mental health and emotional well‑being of local children.
Day Guests - Please arrive by 12:30pm so we can seat everyone by 12:45pm. Chloe & George will be getting married at 13:00pm. Evening Guests - Please arrive at 18:00pm.
There is parking available at the Barn. When driving up the track towards the venue, please take the left turn straight ahead, continue up the side of the Barn, and park sensibly in the designated areas. Cars may be left overnight, but must be collected by 10:00am the following day. Please do not park directly in front of the Barn or near the Hall, as these areas need to remain clear. Venue staff will be present on the day to help coordinate parking and guide you if needed.
We know it’s tradition to buy the bride and groom a wedding gift, but honestly, we’ve already got enough toasters, towels, and wine glasses to open a small department store! If you’d like to give Chloe & George something, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be very much appreciated. There will be a wedding card post box at the venue on the day.
To avoid accidentally blending in with the wedding party, please steer clear of black.
Each invitation has been sent to the people actually invited, whether that’s for the day or the evening. Sadly, our budget doesn’t stretch to your plus-one, your mate from work, or your auntie’s dog (no matter how cute they are), so please check your invite carefully.
We really want everyone to relax and enjoy celebrating with us. That said, we all know that when alcohol is involved things can sometimes get a bit lively! The venue has shared the following expectations with us, so we’d really appreciate everyone being respectful. If we stick to these, we’ll get our deposit back—which we’d much rather spend on our honeymoon 💛 Please be aware that our deposit may be withheld if: Anyone brings alcohol onto the site that hasn’t been purchased from the venue bar. Anyone is found using or bringing illegal substances onto the site (which is part of a children’s charity). Guests are loud or disorderly outside The Barn after 10pm. Anyone is abusive or disrespectful to venue staff. Any serious damage is caused. Thank you so much for helping us keep the day fun, safe, and stress-free we are so excited to celebrate with you!
Last orders at the bar will be at 10:45pm, with the celebration drawing to a close at 11:00pm. The venue have recommend that guests pre‑book taxis in advance to ensure a smooth and stress‑free journey home.
