Historic Roswell

Ponce City Market
Ponce City Market is the former Sears building, a massive, two-story food hall set inside a beautifully restored historic industrial building in downtown Atlanta. With an unbeatable mix of incredible eats, unique shopping, and direct access to the Atlanta Beltline, it’s a must-visit for foodies and explorers alike. Also, don’t miss The Roof—a boardwalk-style amusement park with skyline views.
Atlanta Beltline East Trail
The Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail is where the city comes alive—a vibrant, walkable path lined with some of the best restaurants, bars, and shopping in town. Once complete, the Beltline will span 23 miles, circling the city. Start at Ponce City Market for easy access, then stroll, sip, and snack your way through this ever-growing urban adventure.
Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium is North America’s largest aquarium and the third largest in the world; it’s home to an enormous tank where whale sharks, manta rays, and thousands of other marine creatures glide right past you. Whether you're mesmerized by the dolphin and sea lion shows or standing in awe beneath the ocean tunnel, this aquarium is magnificent.
Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum
This is Chara Bohan's recommendation. The Jimmy Carter Library and Museum is home to one of two Noble Peace prizes in the city of Atlanta (the other is at the MLK center). The museum was renovated in 2009 in honor of Carter's 85th birthday. Carter, Georgia's only President and 76th Governor, died in December 2024 at the age of 100. His post presidential work helped people around the world, and it is an honor that he represented the state of Georgia.
Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park
Chara Bohan reccommends this museum, as well. The Martin Luther King Museum/National Historic Park is close to Auburn Ave, where King was born and raised. It is also across the street from the famous Ebenezer Bapist Church. King's birth home is currently under renovation, but you can see the two story Queen Anne Victorian house at 501 Auburn Ave. This area is the center of the civil rights movement in Atlanta.

Avalon is a walkable, open-air destination blends upscale shopping, diverse dining, and entertainment center.
