Hello and welcome to our wedding website! We are so excited to finally be hosting our wedding. We were supposed to have this lovely day last year, however Covid had a different plan in store for all of us. As some you know, we were able to hold a small Zoom ceremony on October 31st, 2020, which you will see featured throughout the website. We are particularly excited because we'll be able to get married again on our one year anniversary, surrounded by all of the people we love. Who doesn't love two weddings?! This website will serve to provide you with the information that you might need for lodging, event details, the registry and of course, pictures of us! Welcome and we can't wait to see you in October.
Part 1- Chloe's POV The date. January 2nd, 2019. Days ago I had already swiped on images of a girl in a firefighter uniform, with some cute dogs, cool seeming friends, and a great smile. I get a notification that evening on Bumble (this not a paid advertisement for Bumble) that the cute girl with Harry Potter glasses named Carly has matched with me and already sent a message. It was something to the effect of, "How's your night, you're beautiful and seem really smart." I told myself a month ago, that I was over messaging folx first, and my person better know how to pursue me! So of course I respond, I say thanks and offer her a compliment back, and ask what she's up to. She tells me about the bad movies she loves (she was watching The Mummy which is a personal favorite) and we keep texting throughout the night. We exchange numbers quickly (who wants to keep texting in the app?) and the way she made me smile via text already stood out to me. Two nights later I ask if she wants to get drinks with me (I'm over the lengthy text convos that often happen when meeting via the apps), we decide on the 6th and she sends all off the options. I'm already excited. Part 2- Carly's POV We decided on a sushi spot to meet for dinner, so I put on my best black T-shirt and headed out. Chloe beat me there, and little did I know that would be the last time she was ever early for anything. As soon as I saw her, I was completely taken by how gorgeous she was, and realized that I was underdressed. I was so incredibly nervous that I started off the date with my most embarrassing stories, which had Chloe dying with laughter. We didn't stop talking the entire dinner, which is not surprising if you've spent more than 5 minutes with either of us. We went for post dinner drinks at a bar nearby, and only left once the bar started to close. By the end of the date, I knew I just met my soulmate. One year later, I proposed to Chloe outside of that same restaurant, and she said yes!
