We're getting married!

Amidst the challenges of a global pandemic, our love story began in the most unexpected of times. It was during those months of lockdowns and social distancing that our paths crossed. Statistically, we should not have met. Cam’s job required extensive travel, and I was finishing my degree at LSU. When leaving Louisiana after classes had been switched to virtual attendance, I had packed for only 2 weeks thinking “This pandemic thing surely can’t last longer than that, right?” Two and a half months later, we swiped right and had our first date at Cantina Barba in The Heights. I was late to the date (who would have guessed), and the nicest outfit I had packed was a camo t shirt and a pair of jeans. When I got there, this handsome man on a motorcycle had been waiting for me longer than he should have. As the world around us grappled with unprecedented challenges, our love flourished. Now, as we stand on the brink of a new chapter together, we can't help but reflect on the journey that brought us here. Our love story is proof that great things can come out of unfavorable circumstances. As we embark on this new adventure as partners for life, we are filled with excitement and gratitude for the love that has carried us through uncertain times and brought us to the start of our forever.
