Wait? Did you already get married?

Answer

We did! We eloped on December 28th in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. When we booked the Rotary Playgarden over the summer, we realized we didn't want to wait all the way to May 20th to start our lives as a family, but still needed time to plan an epic party with our family and friends. Don't worry, we had an amazing photographer who took a zillion pictures, and a husband and wife videographer team to film it all. A highlights video from our elopement and some photos are already up on the gallery section of the website.

What is the Rotary Playgarden and why are we celebrating there?

Answer

The Rotary Playgarden is an all-abilities inclusive playground, and it is one of Charlie's favorite places in San Jose (he even goes to camp every summer next door at the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy). We wanted to celebrate somewhere where we can bring all of our family and friends together and have a fun, casual and unique time. We are not hotel ballroom celebration people. But most importantly, we wanted to make sure we brought our families together in a child-friendly space so Charlie could see how amazing it is to gain a bonus family.

Question

What will we be eating? There was no meal option on the invitation.

Answer

We will be having a picnic style barbecue from Smoking Pig BBQ. Don't worry, there will be vegetarian options as well. We will also have hosted beer, wine and champagne for those over 21, in addition to a whole host of non-alcoholic beverages.
